Since I started this blog, I have been fortunate to have a steady trickle of readers, and even a small pool of followers, for which I am very grateful. It is because of you, and knowing that my ham-fisted musings and sweeping generalizations will amuse an audience, that I find the energy to write.
However, as you may have noticed, as in the early days before I dropped to a fortnightly schedule, the quality and regularity of what I produce has dropped once again. This is in large part due to the strain of day-to-day life. This blog is an expense, not a source of income, and that is fine, but I have commitments and obligations that I have to meet elsewhere.
Consequently, for the foreseeable future, Writing Worlds will update only on an ad hoc basis. The hoc in question being when I have the time, energy, and inspiration. I cannot really justify churning out dross just for views, and I do not want to churn out dross in the first place. I want to entertain and inform, but both of those things require wells of energy which are currently running very dry.
However
This does not mean that I am abandoning this blog, just as I am not abandoning writing in general. Indeed, before the end of the year, I am hoping to be able to announce something very exciting. If all goes according to plan, it will be very good news indeed. Until then, however, this blog will be proceeding at a rather more casual and relaxed pace, but watch out for more coming very soon.
